October's "figure of month" for Footsore turned out to be a dismounted Templar Knight. I decided to revisit another old project, the Reconquista, and add him to the Knights of Calatrava. I already have two units each of Heavy Cavalry, jinettes, Heavy Infantry and Crossbowmen painted, so it was a nice change of pace to add a personality figure. Not sure what else I will do with him, but I suppose he is no longer occupying the lead pile.

ReplyDeleteI like him; good job on the shield emblem; the same design persists until at least the Napoleonic Wars with the Caltrava emblem appearing as part of the symbology on the standards of the Ordonnes Miltares infantry regiment.
