More Skraelings

Finished two more packs of Footsore skraelings to bring the unit of Warriors and Bowmen up to full strength.  The good folks at Footsore also provided me with the missing shields, so I was able to add those to the existing models as well.  I opted to keep the one archer with an ax to mark him as a unit leader, so I opted to do the same with one of the warriors.

Overall, I quite enjoyed doing these models, so I suppose I will end up expanding the force with at least two more units of warriors and another of archers.  Footsore is offering their entire Dark Age range on a 3 for 2 sale this month, so it might be a good time to expand.

    1. Yeah, I broke down and ordered enough figures to finish off this project and my viking warbands.

  3. They look great, well painted, and I see that they're invading Germany from your backdrop! Brave fellows. :) They would go well with some of the figures from a Canadian company, Crucible Crush, they do a Flint and Feather line of pre-gunpowder age native warriors with some cool monsters (eg, a Wendigo!) thrown in. Cheers, Michael

    1. Thanks, I will check them out. And yes, this particular German vista has seen it's fair share of invaders across history. Perhaps it is time to make a new photo box.
