Some forward momentum on the Italian Wars project as well this summer.
|A bit cartoonish in the faces I suppose|
I believe these are cobblestone minis picked up from Wargames Foundry. Very nice, simple castings that take paint well. They fill a much needed gap in my collection as I really have not painted enough light cavalry. I have another pack of mounted Longbow to complete, but they will have to wait for another day. I still have a mountain of Landsknecht primed and awaiting their moment in the sun.
I have a few of these mounted archers. They are from Casting Room Miniatures. They are somewhat cartoony in the sculpting style but that is lost on a big table when surrounded by plenty of troops. Nice job!ReplyDelete
Thanks, for the life of me I could not remember who made these.Delete
Beautiful mounted bowmen, Jake! Love the color scheme.ReplyDelete
Thanks Dean, I am really enjoying playing with these new "contrast" paintsDelete
Like these fellows a lot. Mounted crossbows will be featuring with my own painting soon. Different periid mind you.ReplyDelete
It's always a good time to paint cavalry.Delete
They look good! More mounted crossbows are always useful in this era, although their primary utility was probably more in day to day scouting and raids rather than decisive action on the battlefield!ReplyDelete
Thanks. I still find that most games do a poor job of modeling Scouts/Recon in an effective way.Delete
