I am starting to get some traction with this project! Here are the first of my Korean Cavalry contingent to support the Righteous Armies in the fight to repulse the Japanese invaders!
For this group I chose to go a little more colorful as they are being done for a skirmish level project. I did all the horses with the same base color, and then mixed up reds and yellows for the straps. I went with a healthy mix of colors for the riders, but kept all the topknots Red as well as the quivers.
I plan on adding one more unit or mounted archers, then possibly some lance and "two-sword" cavalry to support. They are at least less time consuming than their samurai counterparts.
Nice looking cavalry :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, that is a big part of what attracted me to this period.
Delete"Colorful and unusual?" A number of us fit that description!
