It's been awhile

Well between work and family it has been a busy month for me, but at least my painting continues.  I have several 28mm projects I have been working on, starting with this Reaper Bones Hydra.  My son and I have been reading the "Percy Jackson" series at bed time for the last few months, which has sparked his interest in the Greek myths.  He and I visited one of the local game shops in search of Mythic monsters and found this little gem.  At $12, it is not a bad deal.  Mason walked me through the look he wanted and helped me clean and prime the figure.  We primed it blue, and he helped with the bulk painting and dry brushing.  Dad did the fine detail work.

We have played a few games of Lion Rampant with it acting as a single unit with ranged attack and melee.  (Basically Mounted Knight unit with longbow)
Speaking of Lion Rampant it has finally sparked my interest in continuing my next "Rehabilitating the Past" project.  4th Ed WFB Bretonnian Knights

Between them, my Reconquista Arabs, Gendarmes, Samurai and the languishing 6mm Polish Infantry it bodes to be a busy rest of the month.

  2. Good to see you back into action!

For me, May and June are going to be hectic but maybe we can get a game or two in this summer?

    1. The next challenge is to figure out how to get "green acid dripping out of the mouths." Even after seeing all of the acid samples in my lab, he is insistent that it must be glowing green! I mean Hydras sure, but I must draw the line at accurate Chemistry!
