Even more Dane-Axes

One last unit of Vikings with Dane-ax to add to the hordes.  These are once again from the Footsore miniatures collection, so no new castings here.  I am continuing to play with using GW Contrast paints as inks and washes over different base coats.  Here for example all the leather components and ax handles were painted in Desert yellow and thin stained with either Aggros Dunes (wood), Snakebite Leather (leather) or Wyldwood (dark leathers)

I think the GW Gray is actually the most useful tone as it works wonderfully with almost any color to pull down the sheen to make it look more like cloth.  It also makes an excellent armor wash.

A lot more vikings to go for this month, but the collection is nearly there.
