IR#27 Kleist Infantry

Yet more Prussian infantry (just 8 more regiments to go at this point)  this time in the form of the
Kleist Infantry regiment.  This regiment was at both Chotusitz and Mollwitz in the War of Austrian Succession, but also sports the standard red, white, blue combination of colors which allows them to stand in for most SYW battles as well.

I am also in the process of rebasing the rest of the Grenadiers (because of course I am.), and I at least charted out my plans for the Regiments I will form from the stuff already in the lead pile.  I have about 21 units overall to do, so we will see how much I can get done by years end.

  1. Great stuff! I like that you are painting the grenadier coys along with the hatmen.

  2. Your combination of quality and quantity is most impressive. I think 10 mm hits a nice sweet spot that neither 15's or 6's do for me.

(Not that I will be owning any in the foreseeable future. However, I am reminded that Jack Scruby became very enthusiastic about N gauge figures at the end of his career, and 10 mm is pretty close to that!)

    1. I am finding 10mm just about right for my large scale projects. (I think my eyes are aging out of painting 6mm at this point.) I tend to always choose against the norm on scale however. I started my WWII collection in 20mm just in time to see 15mm and 28mm explode....
