Following up from the last unit, here is the de Ligne Infantry regiment to join the Austrian Army. The 'rose' facings are a little harder to pick out against the white uniforms, but at least the black gaiters help build some contrast.
I am nearing completion with the Austrian side of the infantry contingent with only two regiments of musketeers and two of Grenzer currently in the lead pile. Fortunately there is a massive pile of Prussian infantry waiting in the wings for their turn for glory. I am hoping to get a playable collection out by the end of the year, but December seems hot on my heels. Let's see what I can pull off..
At the rate you are cranking out regiments, I would not bet against you completing your task by year-end.
ReplyDeleteYes, but there are so many curassier
DeleteSplendid additions!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYes, they are very nice, particularly en masse as they are.
ReplyDelete10mm is fast becoming my new favorite for these types of armies.
DeleteReally good looking figures you have here. Looking forward to seeing the Cuirassiers when done.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Ross
Thanks, I have three regiments about 2 weeks from completion at this rate.
DeleteThey look excellent!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ray!
DeleteA lovely unit. "A gameable" force is as you choose to define it. I would say a dozen units a side would be very respectable!
ReplyDeleteTrue, but I always find a draw towards interesting scenarios. Right now I am thinking Chotusitz followed by Hochkirch
