The first missile unit for my 28mm Ayyubid force for Impetus. These are all Black Tree Design figures and were an easy group to paint quickly. There is no Xbow unit in the basic list I found in the Impetus rulebook, so I suppose these guys will either proxy or go mercenary. (This is what I get for getting the figs before the rulebook)

ReplyDeleteNo, this is how they come. I've seen European Crossbowmen with Pavise, and Japanese Teppo with them, but I have not seen the same thing with the Arab armies.

ReplyDeleteDont worry about the crossbow thing, they are probably lighter then a heavy western European crossbow and rule wise fits better as a bow.

DeletePlus "Army" lists are hardly meant to be cast in stone outside of Tournament settings. They are, after all, at best plausible fictions!
