Rehabilitating the Past -Empire Potpourri

In addition to all the unit touch-ups I have also been working on completing the small batches of round out figures for existing units.

First up are some Imperial Gun crews

I believe the bottom figures are from 5th edition Mortar set, but I am missing a gun to go with them.

Two more Archers complete the Forstjaegers

A champion and two gunners allow me to retire the old champion back to his artillery command

Finally a lone Halberdier to add to the Ostland regiment and an Altdorf Crossbowmen from a much older range

The 28mm diversion into my past has been entertaining, but I am really chomping at the bit to get back into 6mm.

    1. The Renaissance look is what originally drew me to the Empire army.

  2. Those are some snappy dressers. What are your plans for these?

    1. I don't know yet. This has mostly been about cleaning out the lead pile. I will probably try playing a few games of Oldhammer with my son when he gets older.

  3. Some lovely stuff there. Quite a collection given how hard they are to find now for a good price!

    1. Yeah, right now I am regretting all of the unpainted stuff I traded away years ago.

  4. The older, more "historical" looking GW/WHFB looked much better. IMHO, before they went so over the top. with both design and prices.

  5. I have enjoyed the diversion a great deal though it's good that you are getting the 6mm bug again ;-)
