Efforts on rebasing the Protestant forces and their allies continue with some new units added as well. These are more Scots from the sample frames shipped with Wargames Illustrated a few months back. First up is a second Infantry Regiment plussed up with some of the skirmishers from the frame and 5 levelled pikes from the main Epic Pike and Shotte sprues. The unit looks a little more animated and robust than the
original unit I did when I moved to this single base unit organization.

In addition I managed to use some excess models to do a command stand for the detachment and another base of Dragoons.
When complete I should have 3-4 regiments of Scottish Foot, 2 regiments of Dragoons, 1 regiment of cavalry, and 2 units of commanded Shotte. More than enough to give a Scottish flair to some additions to a Swedish army, and a core for any potential ECW I think about trying in the futre.
Thanks for looking.
Nicely done
ReplyDeleteThe new unit style works really well, really does give them a sense of movement compared to the more static unit, dragoons look good too, great work all round!
ReplyDeleteThanks, that is what I was shooting for!
DeleteBeautiful work!
ReplyDeleteI think your new basing is working great! Any thoughts about what rules you will use for this era?
ReplyDeleteCurrently leaning towards Jonathan's "A Reign Cut Short" or Impetus right now.
