TYW - Rolling Thunder

Another milestone reached as I finished off the 12 guns that came with the second boxed set.  This brings me up to 12 heavies and 12 lights in the plastics + 6 organ guns.  This should be more than enough to field for any engagement, although I still have some Scots and metal guns/crew awaiting completion as well.

I found a brass mix that fit better for what I was looking for (AP tainted gold, light tone wash, AP bronze highlight), so I went ahead and applied it to my original guns.  I used a lighter shade of ground cover for the new guns to help determine who owns what in larger games.

Overall, no too bad.  The plastic cavalry are the only figures in the range I am still not happy with.  I am continuing to convert my Swedish regiments to the single base model, though I have decided to add some new personality figures to help make them more interesting.  It is slowing down the process, but I like the results.  Thanks for looking.

    1. Thanks, unfortunately the decision to rebase has added some time to this project. I hope to have the Swedes done this month, then work on the Imperials in April.

  2. They look grand, the heavy guns are big powerful looking beasts. Nice collection of guns, should look good on the table.

  3. Awesome guns! Feeling a bit sad now that I sold all of my ECW stuff - thankfully to a close buddy who's into TYW too.
