Dessewffy however is a little harder.....


One more SYW unit to round out the month.  I had 12 Austrian Hussars left over, so I had to paint one unit without any command figures.  I opted for the Dessewffy Hussars as they have an interesting uniform and were present for several of the battles I am interested in fielding at some point.

I did provide some different horse colors and put some yellow boots on a pair of troopers to at least give the illusion of variation at a distance.  This is the 5th Hussar Regiment for the Austrian side, so I am not planning on adding any more for the time being.  That leaves me with 2 more Dragoons and some Curassier for next month.

    Nice. These are coming on at a fair pace. The off-set placement of the horse works very well.

      I think it is the contrast. The black fur on the Pelisse just vanish, but a quick red highlight over the lacing really stands out.
