I had six Perry Warrior Monks left over after painting several units, so I wanted to try something different. Perry's Ikko-ikki pack comes with some ad hoc weapons, and I had enough left over to equip these guys with something other than a Naginata.
The first three got a kanemuchi (heavy iron bar used for training.), a large hammer and a simple katana. The katana figure required some re-positioning to the hands that I am still not happy with. I may try something else down the road.
For the other three, I went with a cross-tipped spear, a simple short spear, and a bamboo staff.
Nothing really ground breaking here, but, as Test of Honor has different offensive/defensive critical effects for different weapons, I wanted to add a little variety to the our games.
Great way to use up leftovers!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Always fun to pull from the bits box.
DeleteGreat looking figures and interesting use of spare parts - that is to suit a rules set.

Thanks, there is also the need for some diversity when you already have four copies of each sculpt painted with the same equipment.
DeleteDivesity is good; it certainly works here.
ReplyDeleteThanks, the 28mm Japanese project is probably my favorite continuing endeavour overall.
