Now that I've done the pattern in 28mm, let's see how it looks in 20mm... The first part of the 20mm Rejuvenation project are these heretofore unpainted Panzergrenadiers from FAA. I did the same mix of Sprint and Autumn Plane Tree pattern as I did with the BTD 28mm figures previously.
I think they turned out well, although the time commitment for these patterns is substantially greater than standard block painting. The overall appearance is where I want it, so it is time to move on to the Oak Leaf pattern with the larger figs....
Looking good! I´d say this is successful "plastic" surgery, but these fine fellows are metalic ;) Very nice job on the camo, again! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have been enjoying this project.
DeleteAmazing work on the cammo. Kind of reminds me of painting Landsknechts!
ReplyDeleteThe required effort is rather similar. It's why the "points" I and others use to log progress is rather limiting. I would say these figs take 2-3x as long to do as standard US or German infantry in the same scale. That said, I still find it interesting to try new patterns.
