I am finally done with my order of PlastCraft Japanese buildings, and have enough for nice little rural village. These buildings go together just as readily as the smaller ones I posted last month, and I think I came up with a more pleasant paint scheme.

I used a Skeleton bone primer for the walls and yellow for the roof pieces. Wood pieces were in black with a wet-brush of leather-brown/dark woodstain mix. I hit the roofs with a coating of dark wash, which really brought the bright yellow down to a more subdued tan.

I also took the time to finish a few more Wargames Factory plastic Samurai to go with the new village. My plan is to add a few more 4/8 person units Saga-type to the collection to allow me to combine them to form the proper 6/12 mix for Lion Rampant. Although Mason has mastered Lion Rampant rather readily,so it may become the primary Skirmish game for the foreseeable future.
That is a very nice collection of buildings. Good job!

DeleteGreat looking "village"!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It still needs some Cherry Trees, but I am close.
DeleteLion Rampant Samurai - perfect! And a nice collection of buildings to fight around.
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying the ruleset with these. My original plans for Saga have been scuttled.
DeleteBeautiful houses, I like what you've done with them. I should get around to getting some for my samurai. It really makes the table come alive!
ReplyDeleteThe nice part with these is that they are relatively cheap, and quick to assemble.
DeleteReally wonderful looking houses and scenery.
