Landsknecht fire support

A little Steel Rain to back up my Pike Squares.  This is one of Wargames Foundry's Demi-Cannon with a Mercenary crew.  I really like the sculpt for the crew, and the gun itself is first-rate. I chose to mount the crew, but not the artillery piece to allow me to swap out for other guns as I add to my collection.  (I really need to get an organ gun, or perhaps a siege piece.)

I have one more gun to do as well as a ox drawn limber.  This project has now officially gone out of control...

  1. Yes, indeed, OUT OF CONTROL! But, it looks terrific.

  2. Nice looking Boom-booms! :-)

Seriously, along with Pikes, Organ guns are another thing about the Renaissance warfare that I love. I probably have 4 different types. Never mind that they were probably mostly used for Siege defense... plenty of the "field" battles of the Great Italian Wars were closer to assaults on prepared positions anyway!

Out of Control? I hardly think so. Milord. In fact, you need some Stradiots, Mounted Arquebusiers, Demilancers, Lanze Spezatte, sword and bucklermen, more arquebusiers, etc! :-)

  4. Needs more guns...

Just kidding, these are brilliant - the interchangeable gun with fixed crew is a stroke of genius as well!
