More firepower!

Prussian Heavy Battery

I also picked up a set of Austrian Heavy Guns from Old Glory Miniatures.  One of the things I like with Old Glory's collection is that the guns and crew are sold separately.  This gives me the opportunity to get the figure density I want with fewer wasted figures.  (Pendraken packs six crewmen per field piece)  I had enough models left over to equip several batteries for each side, so I opted to use the same guns to represent 12lbers for both sides.

At this scale, color is more important than model design to denote armies, so they work out rather well.  I have enough models to field three batteries each, so they should be added this month.  In addition, I have a set of Old Glory's 10mm AWI  artillery limbers that I will be adding the collection shortly as well.

  1. They look great, especially the comparison shot in the different colors.

    1. Thanks. My favorite part of doing the collection in 10mm is the ability to mass more figures on a base. 2 guns/base just helps sell the concept of 'battery' that much better.
