Hungarian Combined Grenadiers

Back to the little stuff!  This time it is two stands of combined grenadiers representing the four Hungarian musketeer regiments I am currently trying to finish.  From Left to right we have the IR37, IR2, IR31 and IR33.  Arranged in order or "not putting the dark blue regiments next to each other."

While not doctrinally correct I am organizing my Austrian force in terms of eight regiments of Germans, four regiments of  Hungarians and four regiments of Netherlandish musketeers.  Each group of four also gets a unit of combined grenadiers.  It is really more about rapid identification at this scale more than anything else.

The Old Glory sculpts really work out well for this group and there is just enough detail space to help them stand out.  I even managed to get a semi-decent yellow trim on the backside of the bearskins.

The line regiments are still awaiting a re-supply of bases, so they will be along late in the month.

    1. The Hungarians work better in this scale as the colored pants w/o gaiters really help them stand out.

  3. I agree with both Phil and Dean. Very impressive work on your 10mm grenadiers. So much great detail. Hard to believe they are 10s.

Note is made of the new Blogger name as well; I thoroughly enjoyed physics in HS and college, so I hope your teaching regularly gives you the chance to turn new students on to it!
