Dressing up the battlefield

My goal is to complete all of my 'gift miniatures' this month.  One such boon was a collection of 6mm European buildings.  These would look good for multiple eras, so make a nice addition to the terrain box.

Three formed a set of row houses.  The castings were somewhat rough, with a damaged sidewalk and bubbles from the resin casting.  They have a nice brickwork facade on one side, and a flat facade on the other.  I have several others I have done in the past, so now I can look into doing some Urban terrain tiles.

With these buildings on the table I opted to complete some other buildings from the unfinished bin.  These included two unknown "alpine" resin buildings

a pair of Plaster buildings

Finally I completed this foam buildings.

A nice mix of pieces and a good excuse to paint some buildings.  I still have a number of older buildings for the both the near east and Japan to do, so those may have to hit the table sooner, rather than later/

  1. Adding terrain is almost always a good investment of time/money./

Did an update to the Blog masthead as well, or had I just not noticed until now?

    1. Agreed,, it just always seems to end up taking a backseat to the warriors themselves.

And yes, I am playing around with making the site look at least a little more unique

  2. The buildings turned out great!

For the resin buildings with bubbles, I have always tried to chip them out before painting.

    1. Thanks. I got a great deal of them. This was more of a case of thinking I was done, spraying them and realizing I had only done one side....

  3. Great work, these are splendid! For all the time and effort we put into this hobby, terrain is key to making the whole thing shine. These shine nicely.
