Endless Summer Knights

A two part update.  Following up with Jon's recommendation, I re-based my Heavy Cavalry (CP) on 12x8cm bases with 5 figures each.  This allowed me to add an additional unit with my BTD Norman command group.  I also took the opportunity to make some prettier bases and add some pennants  and flags to make them look more dynamic.
Unit without pennants and standards
Improved unit.

This brings the overall total up to 14 stands.  Soon I will need to actually figure out how to play Impetus.

  1. Looks the right number of figures to a base and as Andrew says Nice basing indeed

  2. Splendid progress and the heavy cavalry look very good as based! That ought to be sufficient for an intro game. I still have a bit of catching up to do but i am closing the gap.

    2. I hope so too! If not, we'll already have our single element armies built. Then , we write our own rules.

  3. Excellent knights, and they look great with the back drop. Dean

    1. Thanks. That backdrop is a panoramic from Southern Bavaria which seems to serve well for all eras.

  4. Thanks, it continues to evolve as a look for different ways to make it more visually appealing. I used to ignore basing, but I have since learned that it makes my shoddy work look respectable.
